My first long-form YouTube video is live.

I’m expanding Studio Seagraves content into longer conversations about brand, eCommerce, fashion, and what actually makes a brand feel worth its price.

In the first video, I’m breaking down my Brand to Commerce framework and the five areas I look at when a brand feels disconnected from the value of its product.

Buck Mason is only 13 years old, but it already feels like a 50-year-old American heritage brand.

That didn’t happen by accident.

They obsessed over the perfect T-shirt, turned down Shark Tank, built a very specific visual world, bought a century-old knitting mill, and grew past $100 million while staying true to what made the brand distinctive.

I broke down how they did it, and what growing brands can actually take from it.

Your next customer may never visit your website.

They’ll ask ChatGPT and Claude what to buy instead.

If your brand isn’t the answer, you never even make the shortlist.

Here’s why your website still has to do the selling.

goop raised $140 million. It still hasn’t had a profitable year.

Almost two decades in business. A pioneer of the wellness industry. Access to every resource a brand could want.

And still stuck.

I broke down exactly where it stalled, and what I’d tell them to fix it.

Faherty built a $250 million brand out of a trailer, not a store.

No storefront. No investors. Just a trailer they built themselves and drove across the country, selling swim trunks off the side of the road.

$250 million, 80-plus stores, and they never took a dime of VC money, they bootstrapped instead.

They signed 30 store leases in one stretch, and the founder later admitted 20 would’ve been smarter. They course corrected anyway, and never stopped growing.

That’s the real lesson. The mistake doesn’t end the story. What you do next does.

Liquid Death didn’t try to be liked by everyone. That decision built a $1.4 billion brand.

Nobody was supposed to find water dangerous. Liquid Death made a boring category and decided the brand would only be for the person who got it, not the person who didn’t.

Revenue went from $3 million in 2019 to $333 million in 2024, according to Forbes and is now worth over a billion. Not because more people liked it. Because the right people couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Liked by everyone is forgettable. Obsessed over by the right few is a business.

Does Your Website Even Matter With AI Shopping?

I break down why your eCommerce site matters more than ever, even as customers shift from Google to AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to find and recommend products. I explain GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and why clear, plain language on your site is what gets you recommended by AI instead of overlooked.

Prove Demand Before Building Your Product: Crown Affair’s Viral Google Doc Strategy

I talk about how you don’t need a finished product to validate demand, using Crown Affair as an example. Founder Dianna Cohen created a viral Google Doc detailing her 12-step hair care ritual, which proved demand before any product development. I emphasize the order: prove it, then build it.

Dianna Cohen launched Crown Affair with a Google Doc, not a product. No manufacturer, no funding, just a twelve-step hair ritual she wrote for a few friends. It spread to hundreds of strangers, two years before the company existed. Most founders build the product first and hope people care. She proved the opposite works better. Full breakdown on Brand Forward.
