*side note that sometimes "eating like a farmer" means cooking a frozen pizza and eating while standing up, and that’s totally cool too. 😜

NEW WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT!

Local friends, join me for my next hands-on workshop here at the farm, Pickling & Fermenting 101, on Sunday, Sept 11th @ 3-5pm: https://www.farmbelly.com/2022-workshops/pickling-fermenting-9-8

In this outdoor workshop, you'll learn all about the art + science behind quick pickling and fermenting, using fresh produce picked straight from our farm.

After a walking farm tour, you'll help harvest some veggies and then work on sharpening your knife skills as we make homemade quick pickles and sauerkraut for you to take home. You'll also get to taste + learn about a wide range of pickled and fermented foods - from preserved lemons to kimchi to kefir to kombucha. Needless to say, you won't go home hungry!

Big news... sign-ups for the Farmbelly Summer CSA are officially OPEN!!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ https://www.farmbelly.com/csa-1

Get ready for 10 weeks of summer abundance, straight from our farm to your tables. This summer we are growing WAY more produce than ever before, and I am so excited to grow our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) community.

A few nuts & bolts.. our 10-week Summer CSA begins the week of June 6th and runs through the week of August 9th. There are two sizes available (full and small), and pickups are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 3 locations (here at the farm, Chapel Hill, and Burlington).

Every week you get a fabulous box of summer veggies + herbs, along with a detailed email from me with recipe suggestions and storage tips. Questions? Just shoot me a message!

Sawyer and I are WILDLY excited to announce the first Farmbelly workshop of 2022 (and the first event at the farm in over 2 years)... join me for a fun and hands-on *Growing & Cooking with Herbs* workshop here on Saturday, May 14th @ 2-4pm! https://www.farmbelly.com/2022-workshops/growing-cooking-with-herbs

This workshop will dig into EVERYTHING you need to know about growing, harvesting, storing, prepping, and cooking with fragrant & fabulous herbs. We'll explore herb-filled recipes, techniques, and tips for cooking with a wide range of herbs, as well as how to grow, maintain, and harvest a thriving herb garden at home. This outdoor workshop will be part demonstration and part hands-on, and everyone will get to pot up their own herb to take home. Also included in the workshop is a full walking tour of our farm, and lots of delicious herb-filled dishes to sample and enjoy.

This magical salve is made from organic coconut + olive oil infused with medicinal plants grown right on our farm (calendula, comfrey, and plantain). The infused oil is then gently blended with local beeswax and fortified with Vitamin E and organic essential oils (tea tree, lavender, and frankincense). Each batch is hand-made in tiny quantities to ensure the highest quality.
