This Sanctuary at St Joseph’s by-the-Sea High School is a sacred space. The art and decoration called for many special hand crafted treatments to enhance the celebration of the Eucharist. A ceiling of well plotted gold leaf stars, hand painted rich gold architectural elements and a crushed glitter, glass bead and mica finish adorn the surfaces. The beautiful, warm glow of the harmonious components sets the stage for faith filled worship.

A passion project dear to my heart in Bordentown, NJ, part 3. Welcome to the Guest Room, aka The Saturday Evening Room! A warm and whimsical space for overnight visitors to enjoy. Color drenched in teal with a mix of mid century modern, contemporary and Victorian art, architecture and furnishings. Velvety lime washed walls and ceiling. A box of old Saturday Evening Post magazines found in our attic as a child were saved for nearly 5 decades, patiently awaiting this moment in time. Each cover tells a bedtime story.

A passion project dear to my heart in Bordentown, NJ, part 2. Beautiful Library/Den makeover. We joined a dark and isolated room to the Dining Room for more entertaining space and better flow. Now spacious and grand, it somehow still retains a cozy feeling. A transom arch, unusual ceiling medallion and new fixture were added to create better bones. Walls were repaired and painted in a neutral so as not to compete with the mural next door. Bookcase got a nice pop of color. Please note the “before” photos to appreciate the scope of this project. So much work - but great decision for a contemporary lifestyle in a Victorian House!

A passion project dear to my heart in Bordentown, NJ. Beautiful Dining Room makeover. Hand painted custom mural, two tone hand stained diamond “parquet” floors, reclaimed fireplace mantle. Ambiance and elegance, with a bit of whimsy. The two resident house cats insisted on being immortalized in the wall painting. Who are we to argue? For full appreciation of the size and complexity of this undertaking, please note the “before” photographs. We came a long way!
