If anyone can help with western NC they have been struggling enough as it is! My heart goes out to everyone impacted by all of this.

A large wildfire continues to grow in McDowell County near Old Fort, the Crooked Creek Fire; folks in Western North Carolina can’t catch a break. It is now at 250 acres. These areas were hit hard by Hurricane Helene, but firefighters have made progress. The fire is now 15% contained, but several buildings have been damaged. The evacuation orders continue for 3000-4500 block of Bat Cave Rd., Pine Cove Rd., Cherry Springs Rd., Roy Moore Rd., Julia Drive, the 1000 block of Lavender Rd., and Cozy Cove Dr. This includes all private drives that turn off the roads listed above. Dry conditions and brush and debris continue to fuel the fire, but winds are dying down. Additionally, tomorrow afternoon there could be some light rain which will help!
