Once our Drift by Stonington Designs Maverick cuff bracelet proved that wood could live on the wrist as beautifully as it lived anywhere else, we couldn't stop there.

Every collection we've built since has come from the same instinct: take what we already do well, and see where it can go next.

Our latest blog follows how one cuff grew into a whole collection, and where it goes from here. ❤️

Drift and Encore come from the same place and go in different directions.

Drift is handwoven by military spouse weavers using a Nantucket technique, with reclaimed wood and natural color. It's light and warm, and it feels like the coast.

Encore is metal set with natural materials like wood, sand, and stone. It has cleaner lines and a sharper edge, and it feels a little more modern without losing the story.

Both are handcrafted in small batches in the USA, and both give natural materials a second life. ❤️

Everything we make started as something else.

The wood in your bracelet came from a tree, a barn, or a piece of furniture that had already lived a full life. We've always believed materials deserve to keep going.

The things you save feel the same way. You might have sand from a beach you didn't want to leave, wood from the house that held your family, or a shell you've carried for years. You kept it because it isn't finished yet.

This is Encore by Stonington Designs, our new line of metal jewelry set with natural materials. The lines are cleaner, the edge is sharper, and it goes from the shoreline to city streets with you. Every piece is handcrafted in small batches in the USA.

Drift stays exactly as you know it. Encore is the next act.

We've been enjoying our time in Italy this week, and we of course brought a few of our favorite pieces along for the adventure. 🇮🇹

On Rich's wrist: Our Maverick Cuff in Cherry, paired with a bracelet from .

On Michelle's wrist: The Capri Cuff Bracelet in Cherry and Sterling Silver, stacked with our Surf Clasp Bracelet in Summer Sky. She's also wearing our Heritage Ring in Rosewood.

One of our favorite things about these pieces is how naturally they become part of everyday life, whether we're at home in Connecticut or exploring somewhere new.

A little craftsmanship travels well. ❤️

What's on my wrist this week?

This is the Harbor Mist Cuff from our Marsh Collection. It's hand-dyed bamboo with cherry end caps, and it shifts color with the light. I paired it with two tennis bracelets.

The wood keeps the stack grounded, and the sparkle gives it a little polish.

It works for a day by the water and for a night out too. You don't need a special occasion to wear it.

Take a closer look. ❤️

Everything you’ve seen from us started as wood. Offcuts from the shop, shaped by hand, nothing wasted.

Something new is coming, and it isn’t wood.

It’s a material you may already have somewhere in your house. Saved from a place that mattered. Too small to be useful, too meaningful to throw away.

That’s all for now.

Stay close. This one is worth waiting for.

This is where your bracelet actually comes from. Not a machine. A pair of hands, one pass at a time.

The woman weaving here is a military spouse. She works in the in-between moments, around school pickups and a deployment schedule nobody controls. The work bends around her life instead of asking her life to bend around it.

Nantucket weaving doesn’t speed up. Every pass has to hold the same tension or the pattern won’t come out even, so she doesn’t hurry it.

By the time a bracelet reaches you, someone has already spent hours with it.

Take a closer look. Link in bio.

JOIN TODAY!

Packing for a week away usually means packing for five different versions of yourself. The beach morning, the long drive, the dinner nobody told you about until you got there.

You don’t need five sets of jewelry for that. You need three or four pieces that know how to work together.

This afternoon, Michelle walks you through how to build a travel capsule. Which piece to anchor it with, how to layer one Slivers motif across a whole trip, and why lightweight wood earns its space in a bag that’s already full.

Live today at 1pm ET on Instagram and on the Live Shopping page at stoningtondesigns.com.

Bring the trip you’re packing for.

What’s on Michelle’s wrist this week.

Seasons Earrings, large hoop, in Summer Sky.
The Beam cuff in cherry.
An aquamarine tennis bracelet.
The Symphony bracelet in koa. The Symphony is part of the everyday line, but this koa is a limited edition wood. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

You don’t need a special occasion for any of it. Each piece is built to be layered, mixed, and worn through an ordinary Tuesday.

And yes, it’s good to be the founder who gets to wear everything first. Look closely and you might spot a sneak peek of something. It arrives late October.
