This donation basket is headed off to Manitou Inn for a benefit on behalf of my cousin Saturday , there is a BBQ and lots of raffles and boards , come check it out if you can . This smoker wood basket is all debarked, Apple, Cherry, Hickory and White Oak .

We were up at Castle Danger Brewery today, let me tell you the smell of all the BBQ going on was incredible , if you’re looking to take a drive up the north shore I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Worked through some fresh White Oak cooking wood today , consistent length and split size with all the gnarly, knotty, twisted, crotch pieces tossed out , this consistency makes fire management and temp control much easier . This wood will naturally age for several months before going through a kiln cycle to eliminate insects, and sterilize the wood while removing the remaining moisture to below 20%. Very nice , clean restaurant/competition grade wood

This customer has a large offset smoker , the firebox takes full length 16” splits , the bundles are a mix of white oak and ash and a box of cherry chunks to add a little sweetness and color to the meat !

The Apple wood logs have been cut to 2 ft long and stored on pallets off the ground for 18 months to naturally age , the chunks will be freshly cut and split to order , message with size preference .

We are gonna be buying this unit for our personal use , will give our thoughts on it after we do a couple dozen cooks , hopefully some of you will find the info useful if you are on the fence of buying one . We have had lots of food prepared on the gravity series from master built , these charcoal/wood chunk smoker grills produce some great food , offset smoker flavor with the ease of a pellet grill in these new gravity fed charcoal units . Can’t wait!
