I’ve been looking forward to this weekend and it’s finally here! We’ve been so busy getting settled into our new community and taking care of all those boring adult tasks that tagged along with our move that we could all really use a fun family getaway before the new school year kicks off.
My son is super into sharks right now, so a couple of months ago, we set out on a little road trip to a beach where we hoped to find some fossilized shark teeth. We were only about 30 minutes away when our truck started acting up, and we just knew it was a matter of time before it broke down. The universe was definitely looking out for us, though bc the truck died literally right in front of a dealership mechanic’s shop instead of on the busy highway! Turns out, it needed a new battery... and maybe a little time to adjust to this humidity! 🤣
So this weekend, we’re making up that trip. We hope to cross some exciting adventures off our list starting with finding baby sea turtles and fossilized shark teeth!
And of course I’ll be soaking in all of the inspiration to bring back and share with you through my art 🥰
