Wrapping up a new piece! 27 Elegy: Legends in Numbers. A tribute to the members of the 27 Club.

Step into a canvas where rock and roll history converges with artistic ingenuity. With 55 years of cultural evolution forms a mosaic of the legendary 27 Club members—Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Each figure is meticulously crafted from hundreds of die-cut block numbers, symbolizing their enduring impact on music and art. Jean-Michel Basquiat's golden crown, a homage to his artistic legacy, is front and center. A classic sound button shaped like Jimi Hendrix's Fender medium guitar pick. Upon activation, it plays Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower," infusing the space with the song's timeless melody. The painting's textured surface blends acrylic paint, layered paper, and resin gloss, enhancing its depth and allure. Just started a tribute piece to one of my favorites. Thinking after line art is done, might do watercolor wash and keep it simple. Good size at 24” x 36” and will finish with a thick acrylic gloss resin.
