Thanks to Jeff who gifted me this tiny inkle loom at the MichiganFiberFestival. It works! The maximum woven length is about 13". What should I make?

This week I received a lovely customer appreciation photo! Ziggy was super patient with me. It took me a year to deliver because I had some difficulty and resistance when trying a new style of lettering. Thanks to Anne Dixon for the inspiration.

Last weekend I attended the Michigan Fiber Festival and taught a workshop. I finally got to meet Joan Sheridan, who also taught an inkle workshop there. We have been following each other on social media for quite some time and it was great to finally meet her in person and nerd out about inkle weaving. She's the reason that I decided to go to the MFF and it was worth the travel time to hang out with her and her store crew!
Joan teaches a variety of weaving and knitting workshops, but she has a fondness for the inkle loom. I am impressed with her curious exploration and how she inspires inkle weavers with her classes and kits!

This month, one of my priorities has been clearing dead trees and getting great exercise while spending time in our 5-acre forest. Feels great to spend so much time among the trees!
In addition, Fiber Arts on 4th has been keeping me busy with workshops. This Saturday, August 1st, we'll be weaving pickup on horizontal bars. Oh July 18th-19th, I will be a part of the ACC Open Studios along with 3 other artists at Fiber Arts on 4th in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. I'll also be teaching a beginning inkle workshop on that Saturday, so my daughters will be representing me and helping to showcase my work.

Next week I will teach a new workshop, Reptile-Inspired Designs for Inkle Weavers. We'll be using my original designs including snakes, lizards and turtles. Thanks to my local shop, Fiber Arts on 4th, for hosting all of my workshops!

Thanks to all you well-wishers! I sold half of my inventory yesterday at the show, hitting my goal exactly! And I completed the strap on my loom, which will forever be infused with good music vibes! You can hear the live music in the background as I weave.
The music and company was great!
