Welcome to Tariffville

A picturesque village within the town of Simsbury, located just 11 miles north and west of the city of Hartford, Tariffville strategically embraces the Farmington River. Rich in history, echoing the progress of the Industrial Revolution, the village holds a past that includes one of the first carpet mills in America (1825), water-powered electricity (1900), and a train wrec

k (1878) linked to the world's first emergency phone call. Today, Tariffville still provides a glimpse of it's historic character through its architecture, and a river access (Tariffville Gorge) that continues to hold a national interest.

UPDATE:
Both Tariffville and Simsbury Parades are cancelled for tomorrow!

The ceremonies for Tariffville and Simsbury will still take place.

Tariffville ceremony will be at Trinity Church at 9:00 a.m.

Simsbury ceremony will be at Eno Hall at 12:30 p.m.

The priority for the ceremony will be given to the ceremony, participants, veterans and their families.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. This was a really hard decision but we have to think about potentially having electricity connected with rain coming down.

A few towns around us have already canceled their parades tomorrow as well.

Good afternoon, the Memorial Day Parade committee will be making a decision about the Tariffville and Simsbury parades after we see what the 6:00 news is saying tonight for weather tomorrow.

We understand people would like to know asap, but the weather has been up and down like crazy where it shows 10% chance of showers all the way up to 75% chance of showers.

If we do cancel the parade(s), The ceremonies for Tariffville and Simsbury will still take place.

Simsbury ceremony will be at Eno Hall at 12:30 p.m.
