From Seas to Sewing hello, I am a disabled USN veteran taking my love of sewing to a new level. I craft jelly roll items and recently have opened a small fabric shop.

Good night. Shower time and hopefully some rest. Been a long couple of days. Stay tuned for future sales on various items that were not damaged in our recent flood. For now...we need rest and time to prepare insurance claims. We can't thank the volunteers enough for their love and support especially in this very hot weather.

Ok we have an update on our class. Unfortunately we are going to have to postpone our Monday mondo bag class. I will do my absolute best to get things in order for us to have the class in the near future. Thank you for your understanding

I have waited to comment or do anything about comments and allegations against us concerning the video posted previously by us. At this time I would like to clear up the confusions. The video posted was about the trash left on our block after the dragging main event. We have nothing against any community events in fact we have supported each one. The mentioning of the behind the times bakery was only as a landmark noting the corner of the block where the clean up ended and the last public trash can was placed. We knew we would not be open the day of dragging main and actually had posted a calendar of events for our shop showing we would be closed that day for the event. This calendar was posted at the end of August well in advance to inform our customers and the community of our closure for the event. I don't understand how this became such a confused mess but wanted to take this time to set the record straight. The purpose of the original post and video was to basically remind the city that the events affect our block as well and not cleaning up our block after events was unfair to the businesses and residents on our block. Our block should be cleaned after these events like all the other affected blocks on the street. Hopefully this post will clear up the confusion.
Thank you to all that understood our point of view and understood what the original video and post was focused on. We appreciate you for understanding and not playing into the hands of the misunderstanding. I would also like to take this time to thank all the people that helped us so much today.

Community events shouldn't hurt or disrupt local businesses. We lose business for the cars and coffee events and now we lost due to this dragging main event. Tried to get to our shop yesterday after leaving to get supplies for our ongoing renovations and couldn't even get to our building. If Tell City wants small businesses to thrive and be a part of this community they should find a way to have events that don't shut down the entire business district each time an event occurs. This is sad.. driving down the street this morning it was nicely cleaned up until you get past the behind the times bakery...after that it was a mess with b**r bottles and trash everywhere. There are several businesses down here and residents live in this area as well. We are part of this community too. Clean up after your events Tell City. We shouldn't have to close down, lose business and clean up after your events. Pathetic!!

Closed for the night. I wanted a good sit down meal with Justin since we don't get to go out to eat much anymore. Have a safe Friday night with this beautiful weather. To all attending the Veteran's Gala this evening enjoy yourselves and thank you for supporting our veterans.
