Back-lighting a stone slab demands precision. Before ordering a single LED or setting a panel, the mock-up is non-negotiable — it protects the design, the budget, and the install.
Working alongside Martin at Tazz Lighting, we resolved three critical questions before touching a thing:
✦ Which color temperature honors the stone's true palette?
✦ Where will translucency create hot spots?
✦ Does the application need ½" or 1" diffusion spacing?

The verdict:
4000K · Frosted diffusion lens · 1" spacing

Ever heard the phrase "follow the template"?

Once your fabricator has templated your cabinets, the next step is a shop visit — where you confirm exactly how the template will be positioned on your slab to highlight the most beautiful sections of the stone.

The beauty of the design process is exploring the “what if.”

While sourcing slabs, plumbing, and appliances today, the entire direction shifted in real time — lighter cabinetry became darker, countertops brighter, and the space completely transformed.

With live 3D rendering updates from my office while we were in the showrooms, the clients could instantly visualize each possibility before making decisions.
