The Story of This House| Pantry + Scullery

The details are what make a hardworking space feel effortless.

When we designed this pantry + scullery, the goal wasn’t simply to add more storage. It was to create a space where everything had a purpose and where the everyday mess could happen without taking over the kitchen.

The story of this House | Kitchen

Layout: Refer to previous post to see how closed in the kitchen was originally!

Storage: I decided on no upper cabinetry in the main kitchen, so double sided island was necessary for adequate storage.

Lighting: I still love this marble flush mount lighting decision.

Panel ready appliances: I did not want to see my appliances!

Fixtures:
Fixtures and finishes shouldn’t be perfect, they should be lived in!

The Story of this House l Kitchen before & after

When we started this renovation, I wasn’t trying to create a kitchen that simply looked better.

I wanted to create one that worked better for our family, our routines, and the way we actually used the space.

The kitchen was one of the first spaces, where I really saw what this house could become.
