I have a 📣 Big Announcement 📣 to share and that’s that I have decided to press pause on Aster Lily Interiors.

Continuing to push for my dream to become reality has been stressing me out, stressing our finances, and just isn’t serving our family like I hoped it would.

I actually came to this decision back in October & I’ve been debating over how to word this announcement ever since.

✨But the truth is, once I made the decision to pause, I felt an almost immediate weight lifted off my shoulders. ✨ I know without a doubt that a pause is the right thing for me to do. ☺️

I’m not sure how long the pause will be. Likely a few years, until my youngest starts elementary school. But I can’t say for certain, and I want to keep the door of possibilities open.

But I know I am going to miss having a creative outlet & a place to candidly share my design expertise. So, I have a new account .asterlilyinteriors Come give me a follow and say hi! 👋🏼

👩🏻‍💻 I plan to treat At Home With Aster Lily Interiors like more of a lifestyle blog. I’ll be sharing design tips, organizational hacks, behind the scenes mom life, and practical self care inspiration.

Low stakes, low pressure. Just a chance for us to stay connected while my business doors are temporarily closed. ❤️

If there is anything I’ve learned in the last 3 years it’s that what you can count on the most is for plans to change. You never know where life is going to take you next.

MIC DROP 🎤 I don't know about you, but this quote is really resonating with me in this season of life. ✨ I'm excited for the big things I have in the works for Aster Lily Interiors & am anxious to get those balls rolling. But...

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 I look at my two little boys. Growing up before my eyes. One wearing big-kid underwear for the first time, the other weeks away from a full-blown crawl. Watching their brotherly bond & friendship grow.

🧘🏻‍♀️ I have been trying to lean into the idea of a "slow business". Taking my time with internal projects. Slowing down so I can reflect & make value-based decisions instead of barreling forward full speed.

🙏🏼 I've been working on giving myself grace for the days I wake up exhausted from feeding the baby at night, with no creative energy to write a caption. Or "waste" one of my child-free workdays catching up on sleep or laundry or whatever our home needs from me, instead of working. Or the days I just want to spend loving on my boys and playing! 💙

2️⃣ YEARS ago, I started Aster Lily Interiors. It's been a big journey filled with lots of ups and downs. It's been both messy and beautiful. ✨ But at the end of the day, I'm grateful. Grateful to have the opportunity to follow my dreams. Grateful to be so present for my boys. Grateful for all the ways I'm learning & growing. 🌱

You can probably find us around our kitchen island about 7hrs a day 😆🤷🏻‍♀️ There are 3 design decisions that I made for our kitchen island that I absolutely do not regret.✨ A BEAUTIFUL FAUCET - when you have a sink in an island, the faucet naturally becomes the focal point. So having a beautiful faucet was a no-brainer! I love how the gold stands out

✨ FUNCTIONAL (but decorative) STORAGE - having fresh fruit out within easy reach helps us eat more of it, know when we're running low, and adds lovely color to our otherwise neutral kitchen.

✨ SIZE - we chose the builder upgrade to a double island and have not looked back. We can have seating, meal prepping, drop zone, and more all happening on the island at once. I sometimes fold a load of laundry on it!

I knew that I wanted to install a family gallery wall in this home from the moment we chose the floor plan & signed all the documents. I wanted a wall that showcased our journey, from engagement, wedding, and all through baby #1 and #2.

The hallway leading to our primary bedroom ended up being the perfect location, and this frame set (complete with a template!) that I found at HomeGoods was the exact look I was going for!

My inspiration for Mason's nursery was the bison artwork above his crib. When I came across this piece by at a local craft fair, I knew it was exactly what I wanted for my sons soft & fun boho nursery. It pulls the entire design together, and I couldn't be happier with the final look. Being in his room brings me so much joy! ☀️
