Poetry prompt with magazine pictures
I received this package during Covid from a dear friend Susan Susan Stone
she sent me clippings from magazines, books, maps maps and catalogs, all bundled together with a piece of cardboard and tied with buttons from her grandmother‘s Vintage button collection ( love that!)
The task? Shuffle the images around and spread them out, almost as if they were tarot cards. Then use each image to inspire one line of poetry or story. Begin with she……
I really loved this exercise. I tried to write down thoughts immediately as I saw the image and not think about it too much so that I wouldn’t get stuck.
I rediscovered this golden nugget when cleaning out some things in my bedroom
