I post these images with mixed emotions. These were taken today just after the final closing on the sale of TIKA. She is now in the hands of a very enthusiastic couple. I know they will enjoy her as they prepare to sail America's Great Loop.

A few people asked to show pictures of the finished product. This is it.

The pattern is referred to as Wheat Inlay. It takes a few cutting and glue up steps before cutting the the actual piece itself. Next time I will make a larger size in order to get more and larger size items from the glue up.

Woods used are pine, maple and mahogany. The finish is Minwax Paste Finishing Wax. This is a Luster type of finish in regards to shine. Application is a three step process, Apply, let dry, then buff and then buff again.
