Who am I?

Hi! My name is Amy (Couture) Beals. I grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, near the base of Jay Peak Ski Resort, where the winters were cold and snowy. I love the snow, and every bit of the Vermont weather, but as a kid, I became VERY creative to beat the stormy days stuck inside. My mom taught me how to crochet my own Barbie Doll clothes when I was 5. Mom never really took to hand-knitting, but I wanted to learn. She gave me a "learn-to-knit" kit when I was 7. My Memere (that's French for grandma) taught me how to knit in the round when I was about 8, and the rest is history!!
