I’m very happy with this kiln opening!
The spoons made it through this time, they just need a little bit of sanding where the tips of the wire held them up. I love all the spoon rests, for various holidays. Love the glazes on the mugs, despite some of them not passing the inspection 🧐 😔

We had an amazing time at NCECA today!
I am so glad that it was local to us this year.
I got to meet Jessica Putnam Philips of Clayshare! She has been an inspiration to me in my pottery. I also met a lot of other amazing potters and pottery business that I use frequently.

This was a great kiln opening, and at the same time, a terrible one 🫣 You just never know what to expect when you open the lid, and remove shelves.It was the first time making these little ceramic spoons, I knew I would have to smooth where they laid on the stilt, but when the stilt melts into your piece, it’s a disaster 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve had a lot of struggles lately, with handles pulling away from mugs, now this.. that’s pottery for you lol

I love these mugs! They are in the drying process. My house is sooo dry, I need to cover them in plastic, and dry very slowly, so there won’t be cracking where the handles attach. I’ve also been making a lot of other goodies! If the temps ever get back above freezing, I can run my kiln!
