My newest piece. I call it a whimsical Tiffany inspired hall table. I Can't wait for the clay embellishments that I made and added to her leg tops to air dry to get her finishing touches on her. (Clear coat, pearl glaze, and silver gilding to come).

This lovely lady that i rescued has a wonderful local Kansas history. She is from the late 1800's and built right here in Meriden, Kansas by the W. O. Warner furniture company that was in business only until Warner's death in 1915. This piece is so old, it wasn't built with drawer slides. I've had a wonderful time working with it, and trying to make her lovely again.
I created the taupeish paint and the whiteish paints that I used. I searched forever and couldn't find the right colors that i wanted, so I made them.
She still needs her clear coat, her wax, and her k***s put back on.

Before and After.
1960's Vintage Dresser redesign. This one needed lots of love and took me about 2 weeks.
This was a very plain front dresser. It has a veneer top so after I stripped her I had to recreate her wood finish.
I didnt order out for anything for this one, All of Her wood embellishments, flowers, transfers, stencils and glitz were all made by me. Gray & Natural & Gold.

This is so unfortunate. You never know what you will find under a stain and varnish when you take a week to strip it. So...

This is so unfortunate.

You never know what you will find under a stain and varnish when you take a week to strip it. Somebody previously refinished this 1960's vintage gem of a dresser and burned through the veneer with their sanding. Not to mention their short brush strokes on the stain showing now. I won't be able to keep a natural top on it, which saddens me. But I will have to get creative with a light white, ochre & grey wash and keep it as natural as I can. 🤣 Did I mention I'm so in love with these 1960's drawer pulls?
