Sometimes the best results are from re-making a carbon fiber part instead of repairing the broken!

A customer ordered these doors sills for his car pictured in the "before". Unfortunately, they arrived from the seller broken in half since they were poorly packaged.

Instead of repairing the broken set, we let the customer know it would be best if they were just re-made.

The customer agreed, and we returned a full carbon fiber pair back to the customer replacing the "new" broken pair he had recieved from the seller.

How do you think we did? 🌡

Wanted to share this brief video of the Cactus 97-01 Honda Prelude cooling plates that are being shipped out tomorrow!

They feature a full carbon fiber construction with a high-quality gloss clear coated finish from and .

The Cactus cooling plate is plug and play besides needing to move your horns to a different 10mm hole on your core support. Simply remove your grill, attach provided brackets to plate, slide the carbon assembly behind your stock grill, and re-install grill and cooling plate as one unit together back onto car!

Please PM us if interested in more info! 🌡

CACTUS M-STYLE REAR VISOR

This is the first of many Cactus M-style rear visors for the 94-97 Honda Accord Wagon!

In the photos is serial number 01 in which we installed on our customer 's gorgeous 5th generation Accord Wagon over the past weekend. It is standard 2x2 with a gloss clear coated finish.

If it were not for Josh ordering the first one, this special item may have not ever been a possibility for the others who have ordered this fine bespoke item!

We imported an original visor years ago from Japan for the shop car. When it came time to make a mold of it, we noticed there were a ton of areas that could be improved. Mind you the original acrylic version was made 30 plus years ago and is long discontinued. So old production and manufacturing methods had to be fixed.

With that in mind, we wanted to make sure that we not only made the visor look like the original, but we made SURE it was even BETTER. It lacked in the fitment department. The original when mounted to the hatch, had gaps all the way around along the glass. It would also rub along the top edge against the roof. We have even seen original versions break from rubbing the roof and the pressure since the acrylic is really brittle like glass.

The carbon fiber however? Not brittle at all and will not do that thanks to the full carbon fiber construction and painted surface.

We tightened up the perimeter fitment and also added a rubber Honda seal. For the brackets, we wanted to bring modern solutions to the table and use the tools we have at our fingertips. We 3D modeled custom brackets from a carbon fiber based material which allows the visor to fit to the hatch with no drilling or paint issues. The OG brackets would cause damage.

For the badges, we took a similar approach. We 3D modeled the badges and used a simple font and added a gloss gold top surface on the letters with a matte black base. Against the gloss carbon fiber, we knew it would contrast well.

Be on the look out for serial number 02. It is going to be made with a twist! 🌡

MUGEN CL1 ACCORD AIRBOX RESTORATION

Recently we received this Mugen airbox for the CL1 Accord Euro R for a full restoration!

This is a 25 plus year old product that was made using old processes and technology. After all of those years and most likely a couple different owners, it unfortunately had been damaged.

From the factory, Mugen did not clear coat the airbox. This meant the surface was littered in pinholes and surface defects which all had to be addressed before it received a new protected finish.

One of the priorities of this restoration was to make sure all original Mugen logos and decals were maintained. We were able to do just that.

The bottom portion of the airbox received a satin black painted finish, this is because the black gelcoat surface was delaminating and had seen better days. The satin finish paired with the gloss upper provides a nice contrast.

Thank you to our customer who trusted us with this process! This item is rare and needed some good care. It will be installed on a 5th gen Honda Accord! 🌡
