This client hired someone who claimed they knew hardwood refinishing, but the reality was sander marks, wrong stain, wrong finish, and completely ruined floors.

I get at least 2-3 calls a week from people who fall victim to the "I know a guy" trap. Yes, these are real photos from a real nightmare installation here in Tucson. Unfortunately, most of the time the floor has to be completely replaced, which costs double the amount in the long run. If you come across someone who says they "know a guy" that has only installed one floor in their life ten years ago, please save yourself the hassle and cost. Make sure to vet them, make sure they're licensed, bonded, and insured. This industry requires a lot of very specific and expensive tools to bring the level of quality you deserve. It requires years of expertise and craftsmanship. I will make it my mission to expose the flooring hacks in our industry causing good people such heartache.
