Coffee Time with The Gals ✨☕️

Last week we shared a sneak peek of a project we've been working on - the dreamy, vacation lake house. And we love this project so much, we just have to share a little more.

Here is the heart of the home, where endless memories are made. We wanted this living room and kitchen/dining combo to have a cohesive, organic and relaxing feel, where the palettes flow from one room to the next perfectly and seamlessly. We're loving the cool tones, the natural accents and the pattern play in this space so much. We're always thrilled to watch a vision turn into a concept, and that concept unfold into a reality.

You know that feeling when a room is almost right… but something just feels off? 👀

It might be your rug. 😂

Rug size can completely change the way a room feels—and it’s one of those little design details that makes a MUCH bigger difference than you’d think.

Too small ➡️ furniture feels disconnected + the room can feel unfinished.

The right size ➡️ everything suddenly feels grounded, intentional, and pulled together. ✨

As designers, these are the little details we obsess over. 😂 Because good design isn’t just about picking pretty things—it’s about knowing how those pieces work together in the space.

So before you fall in love with that 5x7 because it’s cheaper… measure first. 😂🤍 Your room will thank you.

Coffee Time with The Gals ✨☕️

We've been working on a dreamy, cozy, vacation lake house.
Come along with us to see a behind the scenes of how our design process works!

First we start with inspiration - Pinterest, Google, Instagram, magazines, home design websites and even other designers are our bffs.

Next we put together a mood board to capture the vibe of the design as a whole. Showcasing colors, textures, patterns and materials; setting the foundation for a cohesive design.

After the mood board comes the concept. This is where we source real products and piece them together to show how they really work together in the space. This is the first preview of how the space is taking shape.

We're now into the 2D phase, placing all items in their assigned seats making sure the layout is just right and all items mesh together.

Finally, we 3D render the space. This is the final, realistic preview of how the space will look in real time once it is furnished, decorated and laid out accordingly.

This has been such a fun project and we're excited to show more of it!
