Wrappin' up our trip along Route 66 with two days' worth of pictures! First off me and Buck got to meet the boys of the Chicago Coin Band Box at the Pancake Hut in Carthage, Missouri, then chewed the fat with Mister Ed at Spencer Station before making memories at Gary's Gay Parita just down the road. We found the World's Biggest Rocking Chair in Fenner, Missouri, then paid our respects to Old Man River on the Chain of Rocks Bridge. Our last bit of Route 66 fun was visitin' the Pink Elephant Antique Mall, where a coupla funny lookin' fellas invited us to fly away in their spaceship!

Me and Buck and our new compadre Flat Will moseyed back onto Route 66 today - getting two more states under our belts: Kansas (all 13 miles of it) and Missouri! Our first stop was Mister Ed Galloway’s Totem Park - this remarkable feller was a woodworker who made over 300 fiddles, as well as nearly a dozen concrete totem poles and other sculptures. We explored around a bit and had a nice little chat with a volunteer about the place!

We passed through Claremore - the hometown of Flat Will - before stoppin’ for some grub at Waylan’s Ku Ku Burger in Miami (pronounced mi-A-muh) where we made another new pal! We made a coupla stops in Kansas (only 13 miles’ worth of Route 66, but they make it count!) at Cars on the Route and Gearhead Curios.

We finally got to Carthage Missouri where we’ll be layin’ our heads at Boots Court - a right purty motel that’s been restored to its 1940’s best - with radios in every room!

Me and Buck raced the raindrops again today as we made our way to Tulsa to meet our namesakes and their fellow giant friends: Meadow Gold Mack, Cowboy Bob and Rosie the Riveter. Even more exciting - I got to meet Miss Julia, who had a hand in the design of the original Stella!

We took a little side trip to Catoosa to meet another giant friend - the Blue Whale, who’s getting a brand new visitor’s center. We got some grub at the Mother Road Market Food Hall, and are bunking at the historic Campbell Hotel in a room that makes me and Buck feel right at home!
