There’s nothing better than making new hardwood look like it’s been there all along. 👌🏼
For this project, we laced 600 sq. ft. of new red oak into the home’s original hardwood flooring from the early 1960s. The goal was simple: make the transition completely seamless — and that’s exactly what we did.
Once everything was installed, we sanded the new and existing flooring together, stained it Special Walnut, and finished it off with 3 coats of water-based polyurethane for a beautiful, durable finish.
We also sanded, stained, and refinished the stair treads to match, tying the entire space together.
The best part? Our customer was beyond happy with the finished product and told us they’d be spreading the word about our work. That’s one of the greatest compliments a small business can receive! 🙌🏼
