There’s something special about bringing warmth and character into a space from the ground up

One of my favorite pieces in this Airbnb near the TCU campus in Fort Worth, Texas is this custom farmhouse-style bed I finished while completing multiple rooms throughout the home. From the rich wood tones to the cozy layered bedding, every detail was designed to create a welcoming space that feels both elevated and relaxing after a long day of travel, game days, or exploring the city.

I wanted this room to blend modern comfort with timeless farmhouse charm — warm neutrals, textured finishes, soft lighting, and handcrafted wood elements that make the space feel inviting the moment you walk in. Seeing it all come together has been incredibly rewarding.

This project was more than decorating a room — it was about creating an experience for guests visiting Fort Worth and the TCU area. Whether it’s families, alumni, students, or travelers coming into town, my goal was to make this Airbnb feel like a peaceful retreat that still has personality and style.

This custom flag display case is more than a piece of woodworking—it’s a tribute. Made from a solid oak slab with matching oak trim and sealed in glass, this live-edge mantle piece carries both strength and story. Every detail was shaped using only hand tools, honoring tradition with every cut and finish.

Created in memory of World War II Honoree John William Boden (1919–2002), who served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Harry Lee (APA-10), this piece stands as a lasting reminder of service, sacrifice, and resilience. As the inscription reads: “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” – Proverbs 24:16

Now making its way to Colorado—may its form echo the strength and silhouette of the mountains it will soon call home.

Not just a kitchen island — this one carries a story.

This fully custom piece features a handcrafted base and a one-of-a-kind river-style epoxy top. Suspended beneath the crystal-clear surface is a C**t .45, the very one that malfunctioned on its owner… a moment that could’ve ended differently, but didn’t. A reminder that every piece has a past — and sometimes, a second chance.

The butt stock of the C**t rests proudly above the surface, giving a lasting nod to the rifle it once was and adding a bold, dimensional touch to the piece.

You’ll also find the cartridge in pieces frozen in time, along with countless buckles that represent years of hard work, grit, and success in the rodeo arena — each one earned, each one telling its own chapter.
