Who says beautiful things have to wait for a special occasion?🌿🧩

One of the little joys of Connections by Dee is realizing that I don’t need somewhere special to go to wear something I love.

Sometimes my earrings go out to dinner. Sometimes they go to church. And sometimes….. they come right into the garden with me.🌸

Today it was plants, sunshine, a little dirt on my hands – and a pair of puzzle – peace earrings I simply felt like wearing.

Maybe that’s a little reminder for all of us: we don’t always have to save the things that bring us joy for a special occasion.

Beauty belongs in the everyday moments, too.

Every flower has its place.
Every piece has a purpose.🧩

Some souls walk into our lives and quietly change everything.

In 2011 my family drove an hour and a half to the SPCA after finding a little dog named Junior on Petfinder.

He had been abandoned and found wondering the streets.

Before we ever met him, we prayed that he would become ours.

God answered that prayer.

From that day on Pappy (Papi) and I were rarely apart.

He was there through homeschooling my children.

He walked beside me on countless adventures.

He came to church with us.

He became part of my Connections by Dee journey – even climbing into one of my jewelry boxes and sitting among my puzzle – piece earrings, as if he knew he belonged there too.

Happy welcome to every new member of our family with kindness.
Chicks, kittens, guinea pigs… it didn’t matter.

Every life mattered to him.

The beautiful part is that he changed me, too.

Before Pappy, I didn’t think much about abandoned animals or their stories.

He opened my heart.

Because of him, I learned that every rescued animal has a story, every life has value, and sometimes all they need is one person willing to give them a second chance.

His love didn’t just make my life better.

It changed the way I see the world.

For 17 beautiful years, Pappy was my shadow, my little helper, my comfort, and my faithful companion.

This past week, and weeks to come, I don’t just grieve, losing him.

I celebrate the incredible blessing. God gave us when he brought this little abandoned dog into our lives.

Thank you, sweet Pappy…

For every walk.

For every adventure.

For every greeting at the door.

For every quiet cuddle.

For teaching me that love can be silent, faithful, and unconditional.

You will always be my little shadow.

Run, free, sweet boy.

But I’ve learned that beauty is also found in each individual piece.

For over 30 years, my dear friend, and I have walked through lives, highest mountains, and deepest valleys together. We’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness through seasons of joy, heartbreak, waiting, healing, and new beginnings.

Today, we both find our ourselves creating jewelry – but not simply to make something beautiful.

We create because we believe that what we wear can tell a story.

At Connections by Dee, every puzzle piece reminds us that every life is made up of many chapters, and every piece has a purpose.

My sweet friend has created her salvation collection, where each color shares the beautiful message of the Gospel – a reminder of God‘s love, grace, and I hope found in Christ.

Vacation has given me beautiful views…

But even more beautiful have been the people I’ve met.

This week, someone noticed my handmade Connections by Dee earrings and stopped to compliment them.

That small moment reminded me why I started this journey.

Connections by Dee has never been only about jewelry.

The encouragement.
