Pampered Chef is more that for cooking. Sometimes it’s got the perfect tools for kitchen science experiments. Here’s one that my girls did today creating “mystery matter” in my large batter bowl. They used 2 cups of cornstarch, 1 cup of water and a few drops of food coloring to create this easy and fun science experiment. Get your kids to give it a try!

Happy Valentines Day! What are you making for your special loves? Did you know that you can make heart-shaped brownies with your brownie pan?! All you need are cupcake cups and balls of aluminum foil in each corner. I will top these with sliced strawberries before serving with dinner tonight. I’ve dipped my toes in the water of direct sales in the past, only to fail to my own self-sabotage. I thought I had learned that it wasn’t for me. I’ve been a supportive host or guest to my friends’ businesses, but wasn’t going to be recruited again. I was just sure I’d fail again. Then a global pandemic hit us and I attended a virtual party for a neighbor. Her consultant presented an opportunity to join her team, but didn’t flat out ask and nag people to join. Timing is everything. I was ready for a change. I left my career to stay home and homeschool my kids several years ago. They were doing well without my constant oversight, and I needed something selfish for myself. This business is not about making money for me (although that is a nice by product). This business is about human connection, and where better to connect than in the kitchen? I’ve seen more people coming together around the table in the past several months than ever. We’re locked in with limited exposure to our chaotic outside world of ball games, dance, music, etc. We’re not hitting the drive-thru on our way to the next activity. We are home and eating together as a family. I want to help make that experience better and more fulfilling to others. Pampered Chef gives me that opportunity by sharing amazing tools and recipes to create memorable engagement around the table. So, why do I Pampered Chef? I want to leave a legacy of enjoyment around the table for my children to remember and pass along. I want to show others how easy it can be to start your own new traditions of cooking and sharing special moments arounds the table. It all comes down to helping others. THAT is my "why."
