Baking Soda Galaxy Ornaments
The kind of rainy day fun that’s better than cartoons.
Ingredients:
- Clear plastic or glass ornaments (that open or have removable tops)
- Baking soda
- Acrylic paint: Black, Blue, Purple, Pink, Gold
- Fine glitter (silver, holographic, or iridescent)
- Small funnel or spoon
- Optional: a few drops of clear glue or Mod Podge
- Cotton swabs or small paintbrushes
Directions:
1. Start by removing the tops of your clear ornaments, making sure they are clean and completely dry.
2. Gently add 1–2 teaspoons of baking soda into each ornament to create the base for your galaxy.
3. Squeeze a few drops of your chosen colors directly into the ornament and seal the opening with your thumb. With a loving touch, gently shake or slowly swirl the ornament to blend the colors.
4. Sprinkle in a pinch of fine glitter and give it another swirl to make it twinkle like stars.
5. Leave the ornament open for a few hours to dry, then carefully replace the top.
6. Finally, add a beautiful ribbon or string and hang your galaxy ornament where it can shine brightly.
Remember, this is all about the joy of creating together, so embrace the mess and the smiles that come with it
