When our NYC client asked for a rug in her dressing room, the existing cabinetry made the fit anything but straightforward. We had this piece custom made, then carefully measured and cut on site to follow every jog along the perimeter and fit neatly around the millwork.

A little behind-the-scenes progress from the workshop, where this custom vanity desk is taking shape for our client’s NYC apartment.

Designed to give her a dedicated place to get ready without sacrificing precious square footage, the piece opens to reveal a functional vanity and tucks neatly away when not in use.

Because when space is at a premium, every inch should earn its keep.

Before there are walls, there are a lot of decisions.

A day spent laying everything out, walking the site, and seeing this Anna Maria project begin to take shape - even if, for now, most of the house still lives on paper.

The palette: soft blues, warm woods, natural stone and plenty of texture, all inspired by what’s just beyond the front door.

And now, we get to watch it all come to life.

The right outdoor lighting does more than complete a space - it shapes the experience of gathering there.

By day, thoughtfully selected fixtures contribute texture, scale, and architectural character. As the sun sets, they create an inviting atmosphere that draws everyone outdoors, encouraging dinners to linger, another round of drinks to be poured, and conversations to unfold a little longer.

When selecting outdoor lighting, we look beyond the fixture itself. Its size, material, placement, and purpose should feel connected to the architecture while creating an atmosphere that feels just as inviting after sunset as it does in daylight.

Two paths, one design intent.

In exploring this kitchen island, we studied two distinct forms: one with softened corners, open shelving, and a reeded apron detail that extends the island’s presence while easing the room’s architectural lines. The other embraces a more familiar rectangular profile, carrying the same reeded detail through paneling along the stool side for a subtle moment of character.

While the silhouettes differ, both concepts share the same material palette and underlying vision - demonstrating how small shifts in form can create entirely different experiences within the same design language.
