August in Nebraska is not for the faint of heart. Or apparently for the faint of flower.

I won't pretend every bloom made it through this heat. But the ones that did? They are showing OFF!

If you've got an old picture frame collecting dust somewhere in your house, this is your sign to put it to work in the garden before the season is gone.

Full bloom or bust! 🌸

This month's summer tablescape started with a simple vase of fresh flowers and turned into a floral-on-floral table I'm a little obsessed with. Layered florals on the tablecloth, layered florals on the plates, and fresh blooms as the centerpiece.

The trick to making it all work without looking too busy? Keep your colors in the same palette, and let one solid or neutral layer give your eyes a place to rest.

This table was also part of a Design Challenge with some blogger friends. We all started with the same inspiration photo, and each put our own spin on it. I loved seeing how differently everyone interpreted it.
