Honoring Anna Atkins during Women’s History Month

Happy Birthday Anna
(March 16, 1799 - June 9, 1871)

Anna Atkins was an English botanist and photographer. She is considered the first person to publish a book illustrated with photographic images. Some say she was the first woman to create a photograph.
