This is a fun project to do with your dogs or cats if they don’t have anxiety like our oldest dog does.

Get a canvas from any craft store, dry wall repair kid from any hardware store.

Scrape the dry wall repair kit onto your canvas.

Cover in Saran Wrap to keep those paws clean!

Have your pets walk all over it!

When it’s white, it’s dry! Ours didn’t turn out the way I would have liked wanted, thanks Lulu 🙄 but it was still fun and now I’ll forever have their paw prints.

Tag me if you make one! It’s not a class I can offer in my studio. But wanted to share the project!

Two years ago, I walked away.

For two years, I’ve stayed mostly silent about what that chapter of my life was really like. I thought staying quiet was the mature thing to do. That moving on meant I didn’t need to talk about what happened.

But moving forward doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t hurt.

I left that chapter questioning my confidence, my worth, and whether I could do this on my own.

The last two years haven’t been a perfect comeback. I’ve struggled. I’ve doubted myself. I’ve had seasons I never saw coming.

But I kept going.

I started creating again. I built something that feels like me. And slowly, I started finding myself again.

I’m not sharing this to attack anyone or reopen old wounds. I’m sharing it because it’s my story too.

Two years ago, I thought I was walking away from everything I had worked for.

Turns out, I was walking toward myself. 🧡

This weekend I have open craft on Saturday from 1-4. Should I bring in a few of these to be painted? They would be quick and easy!

Also my husband surprised me with Noah Kahan tickets for his last North American show on the last day of August. So I am counting down it’s 27 days now :)

Upcoming classes! I’ll get a post for each one asap!

Also August is my birthday month, so I’m having a studio celebration, to say thank you for sticking by me these past few months, so come check out the studio and see what’s new!

Who’s joining me for a class in August? As always you can book a private class as well! Or rent the studio for your own party!

I’m finally coming out of my fog of getting the diagnosis (MS and I fully commit to making it my whole personality now 😜), feeling sorry for myself, dealing with insurance, appointments and the wait to get treatment. I’m finally feeling like me again, feeling the creative spark.

During this down time, I have thought that there has to be other people out there like me feeling like they don’t fit in with what they see on their feed. I’m a mid forties, peri menopausal woman, has a neurological disorder, doesn’t live in a fancy house, or drive a fancy car. I’m past the stage of motherhood where we go to the cute play places. I’m tired of the perfect. You won’t get that with me. I’m real, I am definitely awkward (thanks adhd) but I love what I do and I’m so excited that the flame is ignited again!

Thanks for being here while I’ve navigated this time. I’m fully committed to showing up so much more now as the unhinged version of me. You’re welcome 😂

I want to share something personal with this community.

I was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It’s been a lot to process, but I’m learning, adjusting, and working closely with my doctors.

Running The Happy Hour Homemaker and creating with all of you is something that brings me so much joy, and that isn’t going anywhere. I may need to pace myself differently at times, but I’m still here and still building.

Thank you for supporting this small business and for being part of this journey with me 🧡
