Join the 6th Annual Editorial Shoot Competition! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the editorial competition this year, we’re bringing an exciting twist that’s sure to ignite your creativity! For the first time ever, we’re introducing a captiving theme": “Fashion Icons Through Time”​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​A current AWP member or NON AWP Member can initiate a competition team to participate. All wedding professionals, who are interested in participating there is a minimum of 2 AWP members required to be on your team. A list of current AWP members may be found online. Intent to Particapte Application is feature on our website. The “Intent to Participate” form deadline is Monday August 5, 2024.

The Association of Wedding Professionals (AWP) is hosting their Signature Wedding Focus Panel event on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at The Westin Washington Harbor, National Harbor, Maryland, from 6pm-9pm. The Wedding Focus is made up of 4-5 couples (with diverse backgrounds). This event was created to educate wedding professionals and better serve engaged couples. The Wedding Focus is an informative Q&A event that professionals gain valuable insight from a panel of recently married couples, on their wedding planning experiences.

The evening includes for each couple selected an excellent catered dinner, dessert and a Gift Certificate for an overnight stay at a Bed & Breakfast. The Signature Wedding Focus application is featured here https://www.awp-dc.com/signatureweddingfocus (link also available in our bio)

A little about me, I’m a wife to my forever boyfriend and roommate Aaron. Daughter to Aaliyah and Earnest. A sister to six siblings. Auntie to four nieces and three nephews. I LOVE cooking for my family! Something that isn’t commonly known about me, I’m a nail polish ju**ie … its not a polish color I haven’t tried! Summer is my favorite season! Along with mentoring several small business owners, to avoid the pitfalls of being an entrepreneur. 21 years has been a journey of life lessons and rewards. Anyone else an ink hoarder? **Please say yes so I don't feel so guilty 😂 ** I can't help myself!! has the most gorgeous colored inks! I thought this was all of mine... then BAM!! I found a whole plastic container full of them 😂 Plus I know I have at least 6 more bottles in my storage unit 🤦‍♀️ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​And now they're launching calligraphy inks?! yeahhh.... I'm gonna need to own those too.

Do you have any of these? I think my favorite from this batch of swatches is a tie between Storied Blue and Midway the Magnificent! Let me know below what your favorite ink is (any brand)?

In honor of the beginning of Mental Health Month... I've been toying around with the idea of selling these worry stones with different affirmations engraved on them. Just small reminders that you are not alone, you are enough and you are worthy of good things. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Yes, the engraving may eventually wear away (not for a long, LONG time) but the idea that if/when it does you won't need to see the words to remind yourself of those things. By then it would be written on your heart and soul. ✨

I am been waiting foreverrr to post this bottle!! For my sweet friend's birthday I engraved and hand painted her new bottle of Jo Malone London perfume. She loves orchids so it was an easy choice of what to paint for her. Happy Birthday Marcelle!! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ 🎨
