The Raspberry Buffet-Refurbished Furniture and Home Decor Hi-I’m Cathy Daley. I am the owner of The Raspberry Buffet-Refurbished Furniture and Home Decor. For most of my adult life I worked in Human Resources. Cathy

Hi- My name is Cathy Daley and I am the owner of The Raspberry Buffet. Outside of work I would refurbish furniture for my own personal use and every time I had opportunity to be creative in this way I loved it! I recently retired from my HR profession (which I also loved) and decided to refurbish furniture full time. For the past 18 months I have been watching how-to videos, reading books and working on refurbishing furniture and home decor to refine my skills. One of the first pieces I worked on after I retired from HR was a buffet that I painted in a raspberry color. I loved how it turned out! Because of this, and as a nod to Prince, I thought I would name my business The Raspberry Buffet. You know....the kind you find in a second-hand furniture store! 🙂
As I continue to build my business I will post items for sale on my business FB page. If you would like to contact me using my email address of [email protected] or via Messenger to inquire about my work on custom furniture and home decor please do so at any time. I would be happy to work with you to turn your outdated piece into something you love!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not be opening my occasional store this coming weekend, October 9 and 10.
I can't tell you how much I have loved having people stop by when I've been open. Whether you've purchased something or not, it does not matter to me- I've loved the interactions and the new people I have met. Love from The Raspberry Buffet-Refurbished Furniture and Home Decor. Cathy Daley

When the weather starts to get chilly and the leaves begin to fall it’s time to bring out the fall decor. Beautiful pumpkins, mums, and gorgeous fall foliage draped next to wall art in shades of orange, burgundy and mustard yellow. So warm and welcoming.
I will be opening my store on Friday, October 9 from 3-5:30pm and Saturday October 10 from 9-Noon.
I have quite a few decor options for you to explore as well as refurbished furniture. Hope to see you soon!

I love this little table and chairs. If I had a cabin with an eat-in kitchen that is where I would have this pretty set.
You’ll notice there is space under the table top to store items such as plates, napkins, silverware, etc.
It would also work well for a young couple in their first home, or a college student living on their own after dorm life.
It was painted using Fusion Mineral pain in the color Ash.
Come see it in person at my store- 17688 Cty Rd 18 - Utica until 5 today, or tomorrow between 9-2pm.
Message me to view it outside store hours.

While I was working on this Philco TV cabinet I was thinking about practical ways to use it.
I thought a small beverage frig might fit into the top portion with can coozies stored in a basket below. Or a computer printer could be placed inside the top section with a laptop and other supplies stored below.
What do you think of my ideas?
Remember- tomorrow I open my store!
Stop by my place and go for a flower walk around the yard after you shop.

I started one last furniture project to have ready next week when my store is open.
This is a small dresser that was is very rough shape.
I’ve added captions to each photo to outline my steps.
So far it has been a lot of work, but I’m feeling very good about my progress.
I’ll post again once this little dresser project is complete.

A number of years ago my dad gave me a ladder that he had stored in his shed. This ladder had been built by my grandpa, Philip Terhaar. My dad said after my grandpa built the ladder he carved his initials into it; P.H.T.
His cousin thought he would be funny and he changed the letters to read R.A.T.
I recently hung the ladder from the ceiling in my occasional store after wrapping willow branches around it and placing hydrangeas and lights on it. I love being able to display it where I see it every day.
It makes me smile thinking about the story my dad shared with me.
Come check it out when I am open on
