It’s Moving Day Part 2! 🚢📦

Everything in the storage unit is getting packed to ship over on a boat to Japan for the next 3 years. Because Matthew and I are both insanely Type A people, we arrived 2 hours before the movers to pull everything out and organize into piles…then relaxed in our lawn chairs and waited for them to arrive. Definitely looked like we had a garage sale going on. 🤣

One step closer to being done…let’s get this knocked out!

Remember & Honor 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Those who never made it back home to their families and didn’t get to watch their children grow up. ‘Thank you’ would never be enough to show our gratitude for their immense patriotism and the heavy hearts that were left behind.

Spent last weekend organizing our storage unit in Virginia to prepare for our household items to ship at the end of the month. 🚢📦

Our laser engraver is packed and ready to go while the rest of Matthew’s tools will be placed in storage until we return to the states. Our business may look a little different over the next few years, but we love how ENC Farmhouse evolves to our crazy lifestyle and never disappears.

Over the last 6 years, we have moved from building only large furniture, to making door hangers, ornaments, and kid’s crafts & toys. Each season of our life has brought a fresh perspective on the trajectory of our small business and where we want it to go. Like we’ve said in previous posts, selling and shipping items from Japan will take some trial and error, but we hope to get it figured out quickly so we can get up and running again. Thank you all for continuing to follow our journey and please keep our fam in your thoughts and prayers and we get closer to our new adventure. 💕

Spending some time by the ocean really close to where we used to be stationed at Camp Lejeune almost 3 years ago. Haven’t been back here in a while and we definitely miss it!! Reminds me of the beginning days of ENC Farmhouse and our little house (now in property management) where it all started. We will make our way back again one day!

Life Update! 🇺🇸

Matthew graduated from the 14 week Warrant Officer Basic Course in the top 10% and headed straight to his specialty school in Virginia! One more month of school and he will officially be done and our family will be back together again. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who has continued to follow along with our journey. I know our business is taking a slight pause and our page doesn’t look like it usually does, but we appreciate everyone sticking with us while we figure it out along the way!

We can’t wait to continue sharing important bits and pieces of our upcoming adventure with you all. 🥰

Throwback Thursday! ✨

In honor of Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I wanted to share some of our past designs over the years. 💗 Although we won’t be able to create these this Mother’s Day, we hope to be able to next year!

As always, we appreciate everyone’s continued support for our business and family as we prepare for our overseas move this summer. Our goal is to be able to efficiently ship our smaller products and custom crafts while stationed in Japan. It will be a lot of trial and error, but we will get there! ❤️

A little less than 8 weeks and Camille will have her daddy back. She was so excited to see his picture on the Service Members wall at church!

Surprise! This package is gonna require some extra postage! 🤣 We are excited to announce that our family is moving to Japan this July!! 🇯🇵

Please keep our family in your prayers as this is a huge move with a lot of unknowns. We ask for patience and support as we navigate how we will run and fit ENC Farmhouse into this next chapter as this is a new territory for us! We don’t know what the next 3 years of our business will look like at the moment, but we know it’s not going anywhere anytime soon!

We are incredibly blessed for this once in a lifetime opportunity that our little family will share. God’s hands are all over this move and I’m looking forward to all the people we will meet and the memories we will make. We hope you’ll all keep following along with our journey! ❤️
