People say your purpose leaves you clues… and Caitlin’s were everywhere, long before she ever realized she was building a business.
From the time she was a little girl, organizing wasn’t just something she did, it was something she loved.
In 4th grade, when the class was told they could go outside only after their desks were clean, everyone scrambled to finish… except Caitlin. She purposely messed her desk up so she could stay behind and organize it piece by piece. While other kids ran outside, she happily sorted pencils and straightened notebooks. That was her joy.
As she grew up, life kept handing her opportunities to organize, almost like the universe was nudging her toward what she was meant for.
During college, while doing the Disney College Program, she found herself rearranging maps and giveaways at the resort until they were perfectly categorized, folded, and accessible. It wasn’t part of her job description… but she couldn’t help it.
Later, working at a law firm in Washington, DC, she fell in love with organizing their supplies, binders, files, and even the office closets. What most people would call tedious, she called satisfying.
Then came her nonprofit job, where she didn’t just organize a supply room… she actually built one from scratch. From an empty space to a fully functional system, she created order with her own hands. That experience also introduced her to people from many different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds, something that today helps her serve clients with empathy, respect, and understanding.
Looking back, she laughs knowing she could’ve skipped college and her master’s degree and gone straight into organizing, but each chapter taught her something. Each job, each person, each space she touched helped shape what would become her future business.
Then came October 2020.
One simple night, without hype or planning, she followed a feeling, almost on a whim. She filed paperwork with the government, created social media accounts, built a website, and named her business. Spaces Organized & Styled was officially born.
Just three months later, January 2021...
She booked her very first client. And from that day forward, it never slowed down. Not once.
What started as a childhood love turned into a passion… then a calling… and now a business that changes people’s homes, minds, and lives one organized space at a time.
This is how Spaces Organized & Styled came to life. And the story is still being written.
