For a long time, we thought plants just stood there—silent, still, unaware. But science is catching up to what some intuitively felt:

Plants listen, respond, and even warn each other. When a leaf is bitten or broken, it sends out invisible chemical cries—tiny airborne messages that nearby plants "hear," prompting them to brace their defenses.
