The beginners class is sewing along. They will be finishing up their zipper back pillows next week. They have already made a pin cushion, a pillow case with three different fabrics and a small zippered pouch. So proud of all of them. Next new beginning sew class starts Nov 3. And for those who have completed the level 1 sewing class, we are now offering a level 2 beginner sewing class. You need to be independent with your sewing machine for the level 2 class. We will be making a kimono jacket out of a kantha quilt in the level 2 class that starts in Nov. see pictures below.

Six beginners. Six aprons. One fun night of sewing! 🧵✂️

Last night our students expanded on the basics they have learned the last 3 weeks and everyone left with a finished apron **and a little more sewing confidence!** 🙌

There’s nothing quite like that feeling of saying, *“I made this!”* 💕

Our Fall 2026 introduction to sewing skills class is off to a great start. Look at my perps SEW! In our first two classes the have made a pincushion and nearly finished there burrito pillowcases. Some have already bought themselves a sewing Macy. I am so proud! Pillowcases for everyone for Christmas!

It’s September! You know what that means? Sewing classes at BCCC for adults is starting up again! If fact it starts next week! Monday is Sewing Skills from 6-8:30. If you have already taken the intro beginning Sewing Skills then you can take this class. Tuesday from 6-8:30 is the intro to Beginning Seeing Skills class. Bring your own machine and learn how to use it . If you dot have one we have machines that can be used in class. Sign up now at BCCC !

Fall is almost here and it’s time to SEW! The holidays will be here before you know it! If you would like to learn how to sew your own decorations then you need a sewing class. Our Introduction to Beginning Sewing Skills class will be starting again on September 15 at 6-8:30 pm at BCCC. This mini course is meant to teach those who have never sewed or haven’t sewn since their school days to become familiar with using a sewing machine. If you have already had this class and want to continue your sewing journey then we are offering a Sewing Project class. This mini course is meant to help you to continue learning sewing basics while you make your own projects. We do have sewing machines available for class room work only. The best way is to bring your own machine and learn how to use it so you can use it at home. Enrollment is open now on the BCCC website or by stopping in to building 8, the continuing education building and register in person.
