I was blown away to find out earlier today that not only has one of my pieces of art been accepted into the 47th Annual Artists of the Gorge juried art show; but I am also one of three artists chosen as a cash prize winner…. don’t know if I’m first, second, or third until the show opens. I tried to get into this show a couple years ago, and was rejected.
This show encompasses artists from multiple counties in both Oregon and Washington, and is juried by prominent local artists, so it boggles my mind that they not only accepted one of my pieces, but awarded it!
This is the piece, titled “What’s the Frequency Kenneth.”

I’m no medical expert, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that we really don’t need protein added to every single thing that we put in our bodies…. Though I am eagerly awaiting the advent of Protein Toilet Paper!!!

By far my largest painting yet. Sacred Lotus at the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney from my last trip there. I painted the edges so the flower and lily pads wrap around the top and sides. 💗- Sally

What a great story. Not a genre Beck hasn’t mastered.

I met Sierra five years ago on a dance floor in Nashville. She taught an LA boy how to two step. Then she got on stage with the house band to sing a few tunes. A local leaned in my ear and said you gotta hear this girl, she’s the real deal. And she was. Been a long time coming to sing together. I think it might’ve beat the original version of this tune.
