When I’m not sourcing or merchandising my booths, I’m usually communicating with my clients, partners or vendors to keep projects moving forward.

This week we’re working on finalizing upholstery projects, designing bathrooms and fine tuning sourcing punch lists šŸ’Ŗ

My favorite part of this job will always be sourcing vintage. For my booth. For my clients. For my own home. There’s just something about finding {the piece}.

ā€œWhere do you source?ā€
Everywhere. But estate sales are my favorite.

A few of my sourcing tips:
• Buy what you love.
• Ask yourself if it actually has a place to go in your home.
• Check for issues and decide… can I fix it, or can I live with it?
• Dig. Look through the piles. Go into the basement.
• Buy the art. Bad frame? Water damaged mat? Reframing can work with almost any budget.

Half the magic is in the hunt.

Do you have any vintage buying rules for yourself?

Plan the work. Work the plan. I had the opportunity to work with Liv of the last several months.

She was incredible to work with - from the first consultation I knew this was a winning combination. Her creative skills and ideas aligned with mine and her process was so seamless. It was a lot of work, but it didn’t feel like it. I’m so proud of what we put together!

My grandma Joy passed away this week. So, as I’m sure most of you can relate, we’ve been experiencing all kinds of feelings that come along when a loved one leaves this world. 🪓

I decided to do something productive and within my control today and so, I pulled all my plants, cleaned up the planters, shuffled things around—and of course… came home with a few new plant babies from

Shoutout to Marna for keeping my house stocked with the cutest plants + planters (truly doing the lord’s work at this point).

At this point I’ve accepted I can really only maintain pothos-level responsibility… and I am barely keeping my monstera alive šŸ˜…

Be honest…are you a good plant parent or just out here trying your best like me? 🌱

The fact that we didn’t get out of bed until 10:00am on a Saturday felt like a full reset šŸ˜† Cleveland gave us a little replay of life before kids. Slow mornings. Nowhere to be. Just ease. It was spectacular.

We started the day with a quick and very good breakfast at the . Built in 1912 and still running with nearly 100 vendors. One of those places that just feels alive in the best way.

Then we packed up and wandered then made our way to ā¬‡ļø

The bookstore stopped me in my tracks a bit. You know when you walk into a space and it just hits. Coffee shop. Bar. New and used books. Records. A stage for live music. It was layered. Creative. So well done. We lingered for nearly an hour with vanilla cinnamon lattes. I left feeling equal parts inspired and a little emotional. Owning a small business does that to you.

I lived in Cleveland in my early twenties for a couple years. I remember being sad to leave the city then. I felt it again this time.

It’s a good city. Full of creative pockets and really good people. I can’t wait to go back.

Our in-home styling session this morning sparked so much great conversation around shelf styling and displaying collections.

Below is a collection of inspired images we gathered from Pinterest that reflect many of the attributes we believe make for a successful shelf display... especially when you have a lot of meaningful pieces you want to show off.

✨ Our biggest tip
Style shelves with both height and depth in mind.
Layering creates visual interest and gives you more room to highlight your collections. Think objects in front of one another, varying heights, and pieces that overlap slightly to avoid a flat look.

šŸ“š Don’t forget the books!
They’re one of our most-used styling tools. Stack them horizontally, line them up vertically with bookends, organize by color, shared topics, or even a subtle rainbow order. Books add structure, warmth, and intention to any shelf.

ā¤ļø And finally: the rule of red
A small pop of color {especially red} can completely transform an otherwise simple palette. It draws the eye, adds energy, and elevates the entire display.

Shelves should feel collected, personal, and lived-in, not perfect. If you love it, it belongs.

This morning we spent two hours in a client’s home completing a styling session that left us all inspired. ✨

We identified key areas to focus on, cleared the space, and rebuilt from scratch using pieces our client truly loves. As an avid estate-sale shopper, Aly has a beautiful mix of vintage, secondhand, and handmade treasures, plus the creative eye to match. šŸ¤

Together we:
• Styled shelves with meaningful art, heirlooms & found objects
• Reworked furniture layouts & rug placement
• Talked color palette and future updates
• Shared styling tips & intentional collecting ideas
• Created new homes for pieces that had been tucked away

There’s something special about helping clients showcase the things that hold meaning instead of letting them compete. Thoughtful styling > more stuff.

Thank you for inviting us in today, Aly. We can’t wait to see what you do next.
