π Big Announcement from Second Chance Market! π
π« To our amazing community around the Okefenokee area,
π Your unwavering support for Second Chance Market, a thrift store initiative by the Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless, has been nothing short of inspirational. Itβs because of you that many are sleeping in their own beds, cooking in their kitchens, and sharing meals around their tables. Your generous donations have changed lives, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
π£ Exciting News: Weβre Going Digital! π
Starting this December, Second Chance Market is embracing a new chapter! Weβre transitioning from our storefront to an online store. ποΈ
π Why the shift? Weβve listened to you! Many of you prefer to view items online, complete with all the details and sizes. Our current setup has made this challenging, but no more! Our new online platform will feature items as they are donated. Once youβve made a purchase, weβll arrange for pickup at our storage unit - conveniently located in the same building as our current store front (402 Harrison Street, right across from the Stadium in Waycross).
π‘ This transition represents more than just a change; it's a reinforcement of our ongoing commitment to providing home goods at no cost to our clients. We deeply value the time spent with our community and believe this new online approach will enhance our ability to serve our mission more effectively.
π A Gentle Reminder: We will continue to welcome donations of wooden furniture after our transition, but weβll need to be more selective with decorations and glassware due to space constraints. We will not be taking anymore donations until after Dec 1.
ποΈ Stay tuned for our exciting online journey via our Facebook and Instagram pages and keep shopping at the store front until November 30th!
π€ Your continued support means the world to us. Thank you, Greater Okefenokee Area, for your kindness and generosity towards Second Chance Market and the Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
