Belle Epoque Studio Pottery Functional & elegant everyday art. Belle Epoque Pottery launched in 2013 as the ceramic business dream child of Camille Morin.

Camille incorporates nostalgic images into her work through the use of a copy transfer method onto porcelain. Images are burnished onto the clay surface prior to drying. Wheel-thrown, hand built, and slipcast forms are finished with an art nouveau-inspired palette of original glazes from recipes culled through decades of experience and testing. Handmade work reconnects the user to our earth by cou

pling rituals of eating and drinking to a more soulful, less-manufactured object. Camille believes special objects make every day more memorable and meaningful and that art can be within the reach of any individual.

Making joyful fun things is a choice towards happiness. We gotta keep showing up for each other, trying to understand each other, broadcasting joy to combat the suffering and oppression that weighs us down.
Making this work is a radical act of self love & I choose it. It isn’t always easy, but I do love trying to brighten the world with my work.

Made some more trinket boxes with my big vintage decal collection! I've decided I need to do this work in company with others, so I'm hoping to launch a workshop soon. Honestly it's so fun & like playing with a sticker collection! Anyone wanna do some decals sometime? Which one is your favorite??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THIS QUEEN!!!!! 🦋💗🎉📚💓🦋 Last September I made the biggest Dolly plate I’ve ever made, and I dare say, the finest. I didn’t get a chance to get a professional photo of it, so I made it again (this time smaller). These both sold at the first shows they appeared at, so I’m happy this combo of print, glaze, and vintage decal is resonating!
I hope the owners of the original don’t mind my showing them with their purchase… I had a very tough time trimming this plate. It was so big I didn’t have a bat big enough- it was just over 14” when fresh. But somehow I pulled it off & was graced with a perfect piece for my efforts.
Today is also one of my college besties birthdays & she is coming to visit! I can’t wait to show her all the wonderful art this area has going on. Love you ! Friends check her page for opportunities to show in Chattanooga. She’s an artist, educator, and curator there.
