I recently watched "When Life Gives You Tangerines".

It's a Kdrama that follows the life and trials of a couple from childhood through old age. ( My friends know my love for Asian dramas)

As I was realizing I needed to do something with my overripe bananas it made me think of that show and my now 'senior citizen' self.

Life doesn't stop and our impact doesn't become insignificant- you just may find you're just getting started on a whole new chapter. I mean, I would have never thought I'd be meeting with politicians and running a nonprofit five years ago. But God knew. He knew He had a job for me. (You can learn more about that in my bio)

When you think your bananas have passed their prime, they are at their sweetest. Make banana muffins. They are amazing. If you think you have passed your prime, you're wrong. This is what every little girl should have. Safety, affection, love. But there are little girls, some as young as my granddaughter, who are living in fear, neglect and often abuse. My grandchildren remind me why Jay and founded PHIGS. We can't not work towards taking each girl in harm to a place of wholeness. We can't wait to open the doors to the first home.

1 in 3 unaccompanied minors report exploitation or abuse.

Let's do something to make that end.

Ever wondered what a beast of a man looks like? Here he is. Works a very stressful full time job, sits on the elder team that leads , serves every Sunday either teaching or doing kid's ministry, and works rigorously on our nonprofit, PHIGS, so young unaccompanied minors can have permanent loving faith based homes.

Hi y'all. I know I haven't been very present on social lately. It's been a busy season. I'm going to try to do better and get you caught up with what I've been up to.

But for now, here's some throw back to Sunday with the family. God blessed me with five sons and a daughter, who would have expected I'd get five granddaughters and a grandson? Six and counting. This is one joyful Mamaw.

And here, here to how God never stops moving us forward.
