Hand-burned pyrography on a natural live-edge wood slab, inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

• Over 50 hours of hand-burning.
• Created entirely by hand with a wood-burning pen. No laser or engraving machine.
• Finished with a protective clear coat to help preserve the wood and artwork while reducing UV fading overtime.
• Approximately 27.5” tall × 16.5” wide at the base × 12.5” wide through the center × 2” wide at the top.

✨ Work in Progress Update! ✨

I told myself I wasn't going to post another update until this piece was finished... but I couldn't help myself 😊.

This has taken days of burning, and I'm having so much fun watching it come to life. Every day I sit down, another little section gets added. There's still quite a bit left to do! The right side needs a lot more attention, and who knows what else l'Il decide to add before I call it finished.

Stay tuned... I don't think we're too far from the final reveal! 🩷

🌲 A little perspective…

One thing my sister pointed out yesterday after seeing this in person is that photos don’t always show the true size. 📏

So I grabbed a 20 oz can for scale.

🪵 This is a large, solid, natural-edge wood slab—not a thin plaque. It’s thick enough to stand on its own, making it perfect for displaying on a covered porch, mantel, entryway, shelf, cabin, ranch, or anywhere you want a statement piece.

Every tree, mushroom, rock, and strand of fur is being burned by my hand with my hand burner, not a machine. There’s still plenty left to do, including finishing the elk, the antlers, and bringing the background to life. I’m still letting the wood guide me as the design unfolds.

Each piece I create is an original. It takes dedicated hours, days or more of work! Once my design finds a forever home, the design will never be recreated.

🌲✨ Today’s progress on Forest Keeper…

I started burning at 8:00 this morning and somehow the day disappeared. I got completely lost in this piece while binge-watching a show, and honestly… I didn’t want to stop because it’s turning out even better than I imagined.

Time to call it a night. 😊

This is the last sneak peek until it’s finished. I can’t wait to reveal the completed piece! 🍄🦌🔥

🍄🌲 Back to burning… and it feels amazing!

The smell of fresh wood, the peaceful rhythm of the burner, and watching each detail come to life—it reminds me why I love creating.

Still a long way to go, but I’m loving every minute of it. ❤️

🌲 Remember when I said I wasn’t quite ready to share what I’d been working on?

Well… I think it’s finally time. 😊

These aren’t finished pieces—not even close.

What you will be seeing are slabs of natural wood that I’ve spent hours preparing. Now comes my favorite part: studying each one, letting its shape inspire the design, and creating artwork that feels like it was always meant to be there.

This first piece will be called “FOREST KEEPER.” The forests and mountains here in the Pacific Northwest are my inspiration for this one. You’ll have to wait for updates to see what it will reveal. 😉

I’ve realized these larger works deserve time. Some may take days, others weeks, and my biggest pieces could take a month or more to complete.

Because of that, these won’t be inexpensive pieces—and I’m okay with that.

For a long time, I tried to keep my artwork affordable for everyone. But I’ve realized I also need to create pieces that truly reflect the time, detail, and passion I pour into them. These won’t simply be decorations—they’ll be one-of-a-kind works of art, with no two ever alike because every slab of wood tells a different story.

I honestly can’t explain how happy I am to have my wood burner in my hands again. Thank you for following this journey with me. I can’t wait to share each step as these pieces slowly come to life. ❤️🔥

✨ A little progress update from the studio… ✨

The next piece in my A–Z bull skull collection is officially underway! 🤎

It’s nowhere near finished yet—and honestly, that’s my favorite part of creating. I paint in layers, change my mind, paint over sections, add details, take them away, and keep working until it finally feels right.

I just wanted to share a little peek behind the scenes so you know I haven’t disappeared. 😊

I’m incredibly grateful for all of your support and encouragement. Every kind word, like, comment, share, and purchase reminds me why I love creating.

I’m also humbled to say that Skulls A, B, C, and D have all found their forever homes. ❤️ Thank you for believing in my art and following along as this collection continues to grow.
