Every year the Apple Festival is the show I look forward to the most. I grew up around thr corner and my mom and I went every year together. I would always get so excited when they would start putting up their plywood signs announcing the date. As I got older, I would come home from college just to attend! The vendors were my favorite part. I loved weaving in and out of the rows looking for my one special treasure my mom would buy for me.
I never thought I would be a vendor. But after art school I drifted from creating because of busy schedules. My 9-5 jobs were eating my soul, so I started The Rustic Cow Crafts as a side hustle to get me painting and creating again. My business grew and I was able to do it full time in 2024. Then I saw a need to take my business offline and start vending. I remember when I first bought my tent, my first thought was "Well I obviously have to do Apple Fest". So I applied. I was so nervous. I checked my email every day. Other shows came and went but I waited for that white whale. Finally, I was accepted. I screamed, I cried, I called my mom (she screamed and cried).
I spent months preparing for the show. I designed my layout, new products, I did research, and I watched the weather like a hawk. Annd it decided to rain anyway. My parents came to help me set up day of. I was excited and so stressed. I wanted everything to be perfect. But finally 9am came and when my booth officially opened I cried (and so did my mom). There are literally no words to describe that feeling. We ended up having our biggest sale day that day. I loved every single customer that walked into my booth.
So we are back for 2026 Apple Festival! We are doing a DOUBLE booth. I have been redesigning, crafting, and not sleeping with excitement for tomorrow. Come out and see us!! If you come early enough you may see my tears of joy again! Share this amazing day with us, you will not be disappointed.
