One of my favoriteee things about owning my own business is doing things a little "against the grain".

Here are a few ways I do that:

🌼I don't have a storefront! Darling Days is currently 100% a home based studio nestled in our wooded back lot. Why not? Mainly to be close to my young children (1 + 4) and still carry out my dream of owning a floral business. It also allows me to work late hours, + cuts overhead costs of running a retail space.

🌼I only take custom (large) orders 6+ months in advance + have a package minimum.

🌼 I don't hire freelancers for designing (set up and breakdown are a different story). I am very particular about the way I design and want to make sure I have my eyes on each and every detail of the event.

Designing for a space that on its own has so much elegance + detail is always challenging. Design choices must complement the space without taking away from the architecture and natural beauty of the room.
