Hi everyone I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself! I'm Taylor, and I'm 16. I love animals, traveling, golfing, and hanging out with family and friends. Last year, I discovered a real passion for baking and decided to explore it further. I started small, occasionally selling a few items. For the past two years, I've known that I want to be a physical therapist more than anything. I know it's a four-year college degree followed by three years of PT school, so I wanted to get a head start on saving money. That's why I decided to expand my baking, with plans to do pop-ups and take custom orders.

This year, the unexpected happened: I injured my knee and had to face the tough decision of surgery versus non-surgical treatment. This injury has taught me a lot, especially that an injury like this is more than just physical; it's deeply mental and emotional, too. I went from walking normally and doing everyday activities independently to needing help with many things. This experience has made me realize how much I took for granted.

More than that, though, it's solidified my desire to become a physical therapist. Experiencing the frustration and emotional toll of rehabilitation firsthand has given me a new level of empathy. I now understand in a much deeper way how important a physical therapist's role is in not just healing the body, but also in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of their patients. This personal experience will undoubtedly make me a more compassionate and effective physical therapist in the future.

Interestingly, this downtime has given me even more time to focus on my baking! It's been a therapeutic outlet, and I've been experimenting with new recipes and perfecting old favorites. It's also reinforced how much I enjoy bringing joy to others through my baked goods.

I'm so thankful for everything God does for me, even the challenges, because they often lead to unexpected growth and opportunities. And speaking of opportunities, I'm now taking orders for my baked goods, and I'm planning to participate in some pop-up events soon! I can't wait to see you all there and share my creations with you. Stay tuned for dates and locations!
