My first attempt at an end grain cutting board.

I made a ton of mistakes but learned a lot from this process. If anything, I have most of what I would need to do it again.

I was able to deliver it to it's new owner today and am pleased to say they were happy.

That's the most satisfying part of all of this, being able to learn, problem solve, and ultimately still deliver a quality product that my customers are happy with.

Finishing touches.

Didn't want to bore you with sanding so we went straight for the money shot. Some after branding the boards. Gotta love how they look after a little oil bath.

Time to plane.

Once I had the bars cut down to rough length I could use my planer sled to smooth out the faces and get them ready for the next step.

These beer flight trays came out super nice! It was a quick weekend project and will look awesome in the bar!
