Something I never would have thought to be a part of became one of the greatest outcomes imaginable during this particular time in my life. What a joy it has been for the 55th Kansas City Symphony Alliance Designer’s Showhouse 2025 & all of the other designers involved. I’ve made new friendships & gained new colleagues, created a space of peace and relaxation, & was able to show the city all that I have to offer. Thank you KC! 💫❤️ and thank you to all of YOU - for your continued love & support. You all mean so much to me.

It’s taken a lot of blood, sweat & tears to get to this point. Owning my first RETAIL STORE!! 🥰

You may have noticed some changes with 2E Designs, like less posting, and well that’s because I have been doing all of my posting on The Fabulous Fern! 🌿 Be sure to go and “LIKE” and “FOLLOW” me there for more of my adventures as I keep leveling up my design & decor game!

The Fabulous Fern has been a dream come true for me and a goal I had been striving to achieve for the past 24 years.

I have been a part of our family owned business my entire life- that’s all I have known. We all worked at least 6 days a week, 10-12 hours each day. As a result, I developed a strong work ethic and the tenacity to reach goals set for myself and my business. Business ownership takes many sacrifices but comes with many rewards. I have met and worked with many incredible individuals, developed friendships, and provide for my family. Additionally, I have truly been fortunate to be a part of this community for nearly 50 years.

A couple of years ago I met Blake. After spending time and working with him, I knew God had brought us together for a reason. His ambition reminds me of myself 25 years ago. He is very bright, creative and dedicated to this industry. Blake will be a wonderful new owner that will expand the Fabulous Fern to new heights and services. I am confident that Blake and the FF team will continue to be the best home decor, gift and interiors store in the region!

I’m very excited to take this next step and focus on my family. Bob and I welcomed our first grandchild earlier this year! Ryleigh is the very best baby I have ever met.
We also bought some acreage near Lake of the Ozarks where we plan to do a lot of hiking, fishing, hunting, boating and relaxing! Eventually we will make that our home base.
My mother (my best friend and rock) moved to Phoenix to live with my brother and his wife. She had enough of the cold and I’m afraid she won’t return to KC soooo….
I will be doing a lot of traveling between all locations and visiting friends and family throughout the nation. You can follow me on FB, Snap or TT as I would love to keep up with you as well. Thank you for all the great memories and your continued support of The Fabulous Fern. 🍃
