Last fire. Last crackle. Last little surprise from the kiln.

I wanted to keep this piece natural and true to the process, leaving the hand coiled texture visible and holding onto the look of the raw RAKU clay instead of refining it away. I love when you can still feel the artist’s hands in the clay.

RAKU has a way of making every piece feel alive. Smoke, flame, unpredictability, and all.

Trying something new with these golden sunflowers 🌻

This vase literally leans—
and that’s exactly the point.

Wabi sabi embraces the imperfect, the off-center, the slightly unexpected. In traditional Japanese ceramics, those “flaws” are what give a piece its soul and individuality.

A little love, a little tilt, exactly as it should be.

Fire, smoke, and a little bit of unpredictability 🔥

These raku pots come out of the kiln glowing… then straight into a reduction chamber where the real magic happens. No two will ever be the same—and that’s kind of the point.

Raku fact: the crackles you see aren’t accidents—they’re created when the hot pottery hits cooler air, causing the glaze to fracture and trap smoke in the lines. That’s what gives raku its signature look.

Perfectly imperfect. Just how I like it.
